There is no fee to enter a float or participate in the Procession
Thank you for your enquiry with regard to Maldon Carnival to be held on Saturday August 6th. 2011. Please familiarise yourself with the rules below.
There is no set theme to the Carnival just come along, take part and enjoy the day.
It would be appreciated if you would please retrurn the completed entry form to the address shown on the form as soon as is possible.
1. Collecting tins and buckets will be provided; it is ILLEGAL to collect for any other organisation
other than Maldon Carnival Association.
2. All entrants are prohibited from throwing water missiles etc.
3. No alcohol is allowed on any float or to be consumed by any entrant at any time during the
Procession.
4. Please do not allow any person to jump on or off the float while it is in motion.
5. In the interests of safety please ensure that at all times participants on board a float/vehicle
have a means of protection from being able to fall from the float/vehicle.
6. In the interests of safety please supply at least 2 walking stewards to accompany your
float/vehicle while in the Procession.
7. All entrants must obey the Police and Marshals.
8. Offenders will be ordered by the Police or Marshals to leave the Procession.
9. In the event of an emergancy or mechanical difficulty please pull over to the left hand side of the
road.
10. Normal traffic laws apply and must be obeyed.
